On the outside of the this emu egg, carving and cutting techniques were done using a low speed drill. Polymer Clay Kaleidoscope caning techniques and a few twisted ropes were all made in polymer clay and used in concert with the cutting and carving done on the outside of the eggshell.

On the inside of this egg, polymer clay flowers, including the rose, iris and a "made up" flower are placed randomly throughout this design. Three small butterflies are also found on this egg. They were created using polymer clay and the kaleidoscope technique as well. Silver curling wire comes out of the floral bouquet at the top of the egg and gives the egg new elements in design. Two small kaleidoscope pendants hang from the wire on the right side of the eggshell. One of the small butterflies rest on the left side.

Everything on this egg is designed and hand done by the artist. The egg rests comfortably on a candlestick stand and can be removed from it.
